Theatre / Fall 2013 Classes / Performance Classes

Performance Classes

ALL Performance Classes provide intensive age-appropriate instruction in acting, voice and choreography. Students stand in the spotlight & learn-by-doing as they are cast, rehearse and perform in a musical or play. No auditions or previous experience is required unless otherwise noted. Casting takes place on the first day of class.

Production Class (Open-Enrollment) ~ for either the beginner thespian or returning actor/actress. These classes offer students the chance to participate in a full length theatrical production with all the associated stage elements (lighting, sound, makeup, costumes, props). Production classes are rehearsed and performed on the Kennedy Grand Stage in front of a public audience.

Homeschool Production Class ~ these are Production classes tailor made for home-schooled students. A minimum number of students are required to fill the class, so registration must be coordinated in advance. Home-school classes are rehearsed and performed on the Kennedy Grand Stage in front of a public audience.

Storybook Theatre Class ~ for the young beginner actor/actress who wishes to test his/her skills on stage in front of an audience, but has the comfort and security of performing in a small and intimate setting with a short-format production. These classes teach the fundamentals of the theatre production process as they bring favorite children's stories to life. Storybook classes are rehearsed and performed on the Magyar Storybook Stage in front of family and friends.
