CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS
Performing and Visual Art Classes - Organized into theatre/music, visual arts, and Pre-K programs for students from 3 to 18, these six to twelve week classes focus on developing specific skills and culminate with a gallery presentation or theatrical production.
Pre-K at KVPAC - The Pre-K program is 5-day academic preschool utilizing visual art, music and theatre as the basis for teaching academic concepts to the children.
COMPANY – In this audition group, advanced theatre students work as an ensemble to produce one show per semester and participate in themed master classes.
STUDIO – Admitted by portfolio review, advanced art students rotate among drawing, painting and three-dimensional studio instruction to develop strong artistic skills.
Summer Program - During the summer, programming is modified into an eleven-week program consisting of one-week half-day classes with a variety of visual and performing arts options. Classes end the week with either a theatre production or a gallery presentation.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
With All Your Art - Program brings the healing aspects of the visual arts to the Organ Transplant and Cancer Centers at Texas Children’s Hospital. Artists give private art lessons to patients at bedside.
Celebrations by KVPAC – This program utilizes the talent of KVPAC’s youth actors to provide costumed appearances of fairytale characters at birthday parties, community events and other celebrations.
KVPAC Theatre Outreach has developed instructional workshops where students learn about live theatre, theatre jobs, and theatre production. All workshops are tailored to the needs of the particular classroom and satisfy academic standards.
Arts for All Festival – This annual community event held at LaCenterra draws over 12,000 people from all over the community to promote the arts through live performances and art demonstrations.
