The Healing Arts

KVPAC and Texas Children’s Hospital believe there is a dynamic therapeutic value to the Arts to sustain, nurture, and encourage individuals in varied circumstances.

KVPAC provides a new therapeutic arts program at the hospital. The venture is an unique and personal experience, titled ‘With All Your Art’. Local artists visit children individually at their beds and within a few hours create a ‘wall-ready’ piece of art. Creating frameable art in a short amount of time is gratifying and empowering to children who are victim to health problems.

"It is so wonderful to be a part of such and important undertaking. The children we can touch at these tender times in their lives make a lifelong impact, not just on the child, but on the families as well," said KVPAC Public Relations Manager, Lisa Connolly.

Programs are run free-of-charge thanks to generous donations from Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, Capital One and Texas Commission on the Arts.
