Students will rehearse a play and have a public performance:

  • Explore how theatre is the art of telling stories through live acting.
  • Learn to work together, build trust, and involve every member in a performance.
  • Explore how pantomime and behavior help tell a story.
  • Explore what makes characters unique and how to create compelling characters onstage.
  • Think about the “why” behind every action.
  • Understand the importance of articulation, projection and voice variation.
  • Understand how being present, listening and reacting are an important part of being an actor.
  • Learn the “principles of blocking” and how to stage a scene without instruction.
  • Create set and prop pieces
  • Arts and craft projects utilizing paint, markers, glue and recycled materials

Ages: 6-16      Day: M and W    Time: 1:00-3:00 pm    Dates: January 9 – June 5

Production Saturday June 1   

Three Students required for class to be held.  Class size limited to 10

Tuition: $150/month  Member Tuition: $135
