The Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center (KVPAC) offers a wide selection of classes in both Visual and Performing Arts for children throughout the Katy and Houston areas. We also house one of the Houston area’s only arts-based Preschool programs, and have specifically designed Home School extra-curricular classes for all ages . Feel free to click on the links below, and learn about all of the programming KVPAC has to offer!
Theatre Instruction Classes Theatre classes that focus on building and honing skills in the performing arts.
- ——> Acting Fundamentals: These classes offer extended practical training in the performing arts. Focuses on improving an already developed interest in acting/performing.
- ——> Creative Expression: Classes that impart beginner performance techniques. These fun ‘play’ classes focus on creative expression, building confidence in front of an audience, and incipient character and story development.
Theatre Performance Classes Provides students with the opportunity to be cast in, and put on a theatrical production. A process of auditions and weekly rehearsals prepare students for their big opening night in front of an audience.
- ——> Storybook Productions: for our young, beginner performers. Students are cast in a youth musical (usually 15-30 mins.) that performs in front of an intimate audience of family and friends.
- ——> Open Enrollment Productions: For students looking to be on stage. Students focus on getting cast in, and putting on a full-scale production. Enrollment is open to all students within the age range for each particular show, and will perform in front of a paying audience.
Student COMPANY An exclusive selection of KVPAC’s theatrical productions. Acceptance into KVPAC’s Student COMPANY is by audition only. Once selected to be a Student COMPANY member, students will be divided between our Prelude, Junior, or Senior Companies.
